SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET
Lazy Gramophone Shorts - Skeletons in the closet Lazy Gramophone Shorts is alive!

June sees the resurrection of the Lazy Gramophone Shorts series with a new collaborative compilation booklet based on the theme of 'Skeletons in the Closet'.

Lazy Gramophone Shorts is a quasi-quarterly collection of illustrated short stories and verse published by Lazy Gramophone Press. The series began back in 2007/2008 – when four such booklets were published to critical acclaim. Now, like old man Lazurus, with a phoenix perched 'pon his shoulder, sharing a sandwich with Horus, it is back!

'Skeletons in the Closet' will contain six short stories each accompanied by an illustration. The booklet's first five short stories and illustrations will be comprised of contributions from our regular stable of writers and artists. The sixth and final writer and artist have been hand-picked from a glut of talented entries, who responded to our online competition. Don't worry if you've missed the deadline: we will be running a similar competition in time for the next edition of Lazy Gramophone Shorts.

Continuing the Lazy Press traditional of fine design and second-to-none production values, 'Skeletons...' will have a letterpressed cover, high-quality full colour internal print, and will be printed in a limited edition of 50. All lovingly pressed in Lazy Studios.
TASTES OF INK
Tastes of ink ...a little like being kicked in the nose while you're eating a sandwich

Our last publication The Book of Apertures has only just hit the shelves and yet already we have begun work on our next two projects: Tastes of Ink by Will Conway and Green Dobermans by Liz Adams. We will bring you more info regarding Liz Adams' book in future newsletters. For now however, we'd like to begin by introducing Will Conway's book of short stories, Tastes of Ink.

In order to to give you an idea of what to expect from Will, we asked him how he would describe his own writing. His reply: "Sometimes I can write some really lovely things but a lot of the time reading me is a little like being kicked in the nose while your're eating a sandwich."

Tastes of Ink will be Will's debut publication, and in honour of this fact, his first offereing represents a wide range of styles. Playful, witty, challenging, Tates of ink is a swaggering collection of stories that really does stir a true sense of potency . We therefore strongly suggest that you watch this space, for as the title suggests, we also expect even greater things to come.

More of Will's work can be found on his profile. We will also be publishing an interview with Will Conway in the Journals section of our website sometime next week.

SPOT THE STICKER CONTEST
Spot the sticker contest - Cameras at the ready Cameras at the ready

Much to London Borough Council's dismay we have been plastering LG stickers all around London and, indeed, around the world for the last few years.

In honour of this, we are running a little competition to reward those of you with eagle eyes.

If you see one of our stickers whilst out and about, just take a picture of it and email it to stickers@lazygramophone.com along with your address and the sticker's location.

If you are the first to report the sighting we will send out an LG goody bag straight to your door. The goody bag contains a Lazy Gramophone Press letter-pressed bookmark, 4 Lazy Gramophone art postcards featuring LG artists' work, a selection of badges and whatever else we have to hand.

Happy hunting!
